Celebration Preschool uses the Creative Curriculum as well as resources from A Beka curriculum (a Christian based curriculum). The Creative Curriculum guides the teachers in how to teach preschool children effectively. There are five components to Creative Curriculum which are:
- How children develop and learn;
- The learning environment;
- What children learn;
- Caring and teaching and
- Partnering with families
We use lesson plans and age-appropriate learning centers which are designed to provide a well-rounded program to aid the child's development socially, physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. By keeping our student to teacher ratio low, students will have the opportunity to acquire the academic and social skills needed to succeed.
We believe learning should be fun, interactive, and individualized. Our goal is to groom each child for the school classroom setting and have them know what is expected of them in the school atmosphere. We want their time with us to be filled with love, friendship, and creativity as we partner with you to train them up in the way they should go.
Formal assessments are completed each year, phone conferences are held in January, and in-person conferences in April
Also included in our daily rotation is
- Indoor and outside play
- Bible Alive class
- Music & Movement
- Computers in 4 year old classrooms
- Math & Science activities
- Dramatic play
- Core Character Essentials
Our teachers here at Celebration Preschool are an amazing group of Christian teachers who are dedicated to providing children with a positive introduction to formal education. All of our teachers meet or exceed what is required by the State of Texas to be a Child Care Employee. They are required to attend orientation, pre-service and in-service training, obtain continuous education hours, and be CPR and First Aid certified.
Our program is licensed and monitored by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
