ELC Kids

A place where Kids grow, belong and have fun learning about Jesus.
ELC Kids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind!

What is ELC Kids?

Every service all children, (infant through 6th grade), experience safe, age- appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Our services are designed to meet the need of every child at their age level. We encourage parents have their children  attend ELC Kids services designed for them, instead of the services designed for adults. We would love to see you and your family visit ELC Kids this weekend! Join the fun and experience a place of belonging where kids have fun learning about Jesus.

  • The Boat: 0 – 2 years
  • The Bug Hallway: 3 years – Kindergarten
  • The Powerplant: 1st – 3rd grade
  • Shock: 4th – 6th grade (coming in January)

Your First Visit

Be sure to look for the areas designated for our First Time Families. We look forward to meeting your family, checking your child into service with our secure system, and accompanying you to your child’s age-appropriate room. We will ask you to complete a form with the following personal information: family member’s names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number and mobile carrier, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

How Check-In Works

  • If you are new guest, you may check-in your child at any available check-in desk in the ELC Kids area. For returning guests, you may check-in your child by using any ELC Kids Kiosk by locating your child’s name in our system by using your phone number. You are also welcome to check them in at a desk with one of our servant leaders.
  • You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family for that visit.
  • Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag.
  • After service, you will return to your child’s room and show your matching tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
  • For faster pick-up, please have your matching tag visible for our security team as you enter the secured area.
  • If you need to be contacted while in service, you will receive a text message through our system. We ask that you exit the main auditorium immediately and go to the classroom that you dropped your child off at.

The Ride Home

On your way home, we encourage you to ask your child questions like, “What was the Big Idea that you took away from today?” or “Did you have fun?” It is our goal for every child tp have a positive experience at ELC Kids and be able to share about what they learned by answering those two questions every week.

We also send information home each week about what we are learning and the scripture we are memorizing for parents to partner with us.

Special Environments

Nursing Mom's Room

A Nursing Mom’s Room is available at Elevate Life to accommodate women who are nursing ages twelve months and under. This room provides a more private and quiet environment to view the service and take care of the needs of your child. This “Mom’s Only” Room is located near the lobby.

PALS Buddy System

Through our PALS Ministry we are able to engage children ages 3-12 years with special needs. In our inclusive PALS program, your child can be included in their age-appropriate classroom with a trained servant leader as their PAL as much as is appropriate. Our trained servant leaders lovingly create the best experience by meeting their spiritual, educational and sensory needs. We love leading kids to discover and learn about Jesus on their level.

Child Dedication

God wants to build and leave a legacy through our children. Dedicating your baby or child means that we know they ultimately belong to God. It is our hope that your child will discover God, experience His love, and choose to serve Him. Child dedications is for birth through any age and happen one a quarter.

What We Value

We believe the Bible is the most amazing book ever written! Through skits, puppets, media, activities, stories and live worship, we creatively present the Word of God to keep kids engaged in the moment. We desire for kids to love God's Word and understand the value of applying it to their life.

We value children's relationships so we create an environment each service where they can connect with their peers and leaders who know them by name. Our small groups provide a special time of discussion and connecting with relevant topics with kids their age.

Our environments and content are created in a way your child will understand. We care about your child's development and meeting their needs on where they are at in life.

Every child's name tag is matched to a parent identification number for pick-up. Every servant leader, identified in a light blue ELC Kids shirt, is screened with an interview and federal background check to ensure their safety. Each hallway is secure and monitored  by security personnel and staff.

Kids love to have FUN! We realize when children have fun at church, they get excited to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus through games, activities, singing, live acting, and more.

FAQ

Children may sit with you in the main auditorium, but it is  highly suggested for children to attend their age-appropriate service.

Yes. ELC Kids Special Needs Ministry is available for children from 3 to 12 years old. To provide the best experience for your child, please make sure to RSVP your child by noon each Friday.

We recommend baptism when your child is able to personally acknowledge and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Typically, a child will be able to understand this around kindergarten-1st grade. Your child must also be able to hold their breath under the water. We do not baptize infants or toddlers, but we will dedicate them. Child Dedication is for birth to any age and happens quarterly.  Register for Baptism.
