Intentional Living Produces Intentional Victory: How to Run to Win in 2026

You donโ€™t drift into victory.
You decide into it.

In their powerful message โ€œIntentional Living Produces Intentional Victory,โ€ Pastors Keith and Sheila Craft challenged Elevate Life Church with a truth that hits every area of life:

Everyone runs. But not everyone runs to win.ย

Victory isnโ€™t accidental.
Itโ€™s intentional.

And 2026 is not the year to live passively.

You Donโ€™t Get What You Deserve โ€” You Get What You Decide

One of the strongest statements from the message was this:

โ€œYou donโ€™t get what you deserve. You get what you decide.โ€ย

In todayโ€™s culture, itโ€™s easy to operate from entitlement:

  • โ€œI deserve to be happy.โ€
  • โ€œI deserve better.โ€
  • โ€œI deserve more.โ€

But God isnโ€™t asking what you deserve.
Heโ€™s asking what youโ€™re deciding.

Are you deciding:

  • To know God deeply?
  • To grow intentionally?
  • To align your life with His purpose?

Because if you donโ€™t make intentional decisions, youโ€™ll live by default instead of by design.

Clarity Produces Acceleration

Pastor Sheila made a powerful statement:

โ€œClarity produces acceleration.โ€ย

Many people feel stuck โ€” not because they lack opportunity, but because they lack clarity.

Clarity means:

  • Knowing your assignment in this season
  • Understanding your responsibilities
  • Taking the next right step

You donโ€™t need full visibility of the future.
You just need obedience to the next step.

Intentional living means asking:
โ€œWhat has God assigned me right now?โ€

Comparison Is the Enemy of Victory

Pastors Keith and Sheila addressed one of the biggest joy-killers in modern life: comparisonย

Social media shows highlight reels.
Real life includes struggle.

When you compare your marriage, your career, your timeline, or your family to someone elseโ€™s โ€” you step out of your lane.

God called you to run:

  • Your race
  • In your lane
  • At your pace

There is nobody like you.
You have a divine fingerprint.
You are Godโ€™s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10).

Intentional living means focusing forward โ€” not sideways.

The Weights That Slow You Down

Hebrews 12 tells us to lay aside every weight that hinders usย

Pastor Keith illustrated this with physical weights. Some weights we carry are unnecessary:

  • Offense
  • Bitterness
  • Unforgiveness
  • Past hurt
  • Resentment

You can still move forward carrying those things.
But you wonโ€™t move forward efficiently.

Intentional victory requires intentional release.

Then they made an important distinction:

There are also good weights:

  • Marriage
  • Parenting
  • Leadership
  • Responsibility
  • Spiritual discipline

Those weights build strength.

The question is simple:

Are you carrying weight that makes you stronger โ€” or weight that makes you stuck?

Open Hands Run Better

One of the most memorable moments of the service was the illustration of clenched fistsย

When you run with clenched fists, you waste energy.
When you live with a clenched heart, you block blessing.

Closed hands:

  • Hold onto offense
  • Hold onto control
  • Hold onto fear

Open hands:

  • Release the past
  • Receive from God
  • Bless others

Intentional living requires open hands.

Donโ€™t Be a โ€œLaterโ€ Person

Procrastination is the enemy of purpose.

โ€œLaterโ€ becomes:

  • Cold coffee
  • Missed opportunity
  • Regret

Intentional victory means deciding now.

If you know you need to:

  • Forgive
  • Drop resentment
  • Recommit
  • Grow
  • Take action

Donโ€™t wait.

Decide today.
