The Revelation To Run Part 2

How to Win the Race God Set Before You

Everyone is running—but not everyone is running with purpose.

In his message “The Revelation To Run,” Pastor Keith Craft unpacked what it truly means to run the race God has set before each of us. This message builds on Elevate Life Church’s Word of the Year for 2026—Run—and brings clarity to how we run, why we run, and what it takes to win  .

At Elevate Life Church in Frisco, TX, this word was both encouraging and challenging. It reminded us that life isn’t something to drift through—it’s a race to be run with intention, endurance, and faith.

Your Race Is a Race Only You Can Run

One of the core truths Pastor Keith emphasized is simple but powerful:

You cannot run anyone else’s race.

You can’t run your parents’ race.

You can’t run your spouse’s race.

You can’t run your children’s race.

God has set your race before you. Comparison only distracts, but revelation brings focus. When you accept responsibility for your own race, you step into freedom and clarity  .

Everyone Has a Chance and Everyone Has Time

Drawing from Ecclesiastes 9:11, Pastor Keith reminded us that success isn’t just about talent, strength, or speed. Scripture tells us that time and chance happen to them all.

In other words, you have opportunity.

And you have time.

2026 is a year of opportunity—a year to see it, seize it, and even create it as you run your race intentionally.

The Six Races We All Run

Pastor Keith framed life through the lens of six key races we are all running simultaneously:

  1. Personal Growth & Leadership Development
The most important and most difficult race. When you grow better, everything around you grows better.
  2. Marriage
Marriage doesn’t win by accident—it wins through intentional growth, honor, and discipline.
  3. Family
God calls us not just to be fruitful, but to multiply what’s healthy and godly into the next generation.
  4. Calling & Career
Your work is a race. When done God’s way, it becomes a calling, not just a job.
  5. Finances
Running this race God’s way means tithing, stewardship, and generosity—alignment over anxiety.
  6. Health (Spiritual, Emotional, Physical)
A healthy you is one of the greatest gifts you can give others.

Run With Endurance and Focus

Hebrews 12 calls us to run with endurance by laying aside distractions and sin and fixing our eyes on Jesus. Pastor Keith emphasized that winning doesn’t come from wishing life were easier—it comes from becoming better.

Endurance is built through discipline.

Discipline is built through daily decisions.

And daily decisions determine long-term outcomes  .

Work Out What God Has Worked In

From Philippians 2, Pastor Keith taught that while salvation is a gift, growth requires effort. Every area of life—marriage, finances, leadership, health—requires us to work out what God has already worked in.

God works in us as we work out our race.

Decide to Be Glad, Not Sad

One of the most practical revelations in this message was this:

Joy is a decision.

Complaining, grumbling, and arguing pull us off course. Gratitude realigns us with God’s will. As Pastor Keith shared, many of Paul’s letters about joy and endurance were written from prison—proof that circumstances don’t determine attitude  .

Final Encouragement

2026 is not the year to jog.

It’s the year to run.

And not just to run—but to run to win.

Your race matters. Your faithfulness matters. And when you run with endurance, discipline, and gratitude, your life becomes a testimony that encourages others to run their race well.
