What Do You See? The Life-Changing Power of Easter and God’s Love

Easter is more than a tradition.
It’s more than a moment.
It’s more than a story.

It’s a question.

What do you see?

In his Easter message “What Do You See?” Pastor Keith Craft invites us to look beyond the surface of the resurrection story and see something deeper—something personal.

Because what you see will determine what you believe.
And what you believe will determine what you receive.

When You Don’t Recognize God Is With You

In Luke 24, two men walked seven miles in disappointment.

They had believed Jesus was the Savior.
They had witnessed miracles.
But now He was gone—or so they thought.

As they walked, Jesus Himself joined them.
But they didn’t recognize Him.

Think about that.

They were walking with the answer…
…but didn’t see Him.

Pastor Keith shared a powerful truth:

Sometimes the miracle isn’t that God shows up—it’s that He’s been there all along.

How often do we miss what God is doing because we’re focused on what didn’t happen?

Easter Is About Seeing God’s Love for You

At the heart of this message is one simple but life-changing revelation:

God doesn’t just love you—He so loves you.

John 3:16 says:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…”

That word so changes everything.

God’s love is not:

  • Conditional
  • Earned
  • Based on performance

God’s love is:

  • Sacrificial
  • Personal
  • Unchanging

Pastor Keith shared a deeply personal moment—the day his son was born—when he felt overwhelming love and heard God say:

“That’s how I feel about you every day.”

For many people, this is the hardest part of Easter to believe.

Because maybe:

  • You weren’t loved well growing up
  • You’ve experienced rejection
  • You’ve made mistakes you regret

But Easter declares this truth:

You are fully loved—right now.

What You Believe Determines What You See

Pastor Keith emphasized something critical:

Your beliefs shape your perspective.

Just like the roots of a tree determine what grows above the ground, your beliefs determine how you see life.

If you believe:

  • You’re not loved → you won’t see love
  • You’re not valued → you won’t recognize worth
  • God is distant → you won’t see Him working

But when your beliefs align with truth, everything changes.

That’s why Easter isn’t just about seeing—it’s about believing.

Belief vs. Faith: There’s a Difference

Pastor Keith illustrated this with a powerful story about a tightrope walker crossing Niagara Falls.

Thousands of people said they believed he could do it.

But when he asked for someone to climb on his back…

No one moved.

Until one man stepped forward.

That’s the difference between belief and faith.

Belief says, “I think it’s possible.”
Faith says, “I’m willing to trust it with my life.”

Many people believe in God.

But Easter invites you to take the next step:

Put your faith in Him.

Easter Is About Receiving What God Has for You

This message builds to a powerful moment:

Easter is not just about:

  • Seeing God’s love
  • Believing truth

It’s about receiving what God offers.

Pastor Keith asks three life-defining questions:

1. Do You Want Your Sins Forgiven?

Every mistake.
Every regret.
Every failure.

Forgiven.

Not managed. Not minimized.
Removed.

2. Do You Want Resurrection Power in Your Life?

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead…

Can live in you.

That means:

  • Strength when you’re weak
  • Hope when you feel lost
  • Life where things feel dead

3. Do You Want Assurance of Your Future?

Easter reminds us:

This life is not the end.

We are not just physical beings—we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

And through Jesus, your future can be secure.

The Folded Napkin: He’s Coming Back

One of the most powerful moments in the message is the detail of the empty tomb.

Not just that it was empty…

But that the cloth covering Jesus’ face was folded.

In Jewish tradition:

  • A crumpled napkin meant “I’m done”
  • A folded napkin meant “I’m coming back”

Jesus didn’t just rise.

He left a message.

I’m coming back.

What Do You See?

Easter ultimately comes down to one question:

What do you see?

Do you see:

  • A story?
  • A tradition?
  • A moment in history?

Or do you see:

  • God’s love for you
  • A Savior who died and rose again
  • An invitation to new life
